Building a birchbark canoe in a clearing of a wooded area on the Pikwàkanagàn Reserve (Golden Lake Reserve), Ontario. The canoe is stacked out and seen from the side. Mary Louise (Mevene) Aird (Algonquin), wife of Basil Aird, and her daughter are seen on the opposite side of the canoe.
