A Hudson's Bay Company store, in Senneterre. With the decline of the fur trade, the Company’s posts had become general stores. People would go there to get ration coupons; when the time came, they would return to exchange them for salt, sugar, milk, and flour. In some communities, these buildings were used to celebrate weddings.
